A nice story of one species helping another.
The bird who stopped by apparently was wounded and was recovering in my yard, garage and flower gardens. I contacted a local petting zoo at the suggestion of another blogger and was fortunate that they knew someone who could treat wild birds.
The Tristate Bird Rescue gave me some good advice and asked that I capture it and bring it to them…..well he is well enough to be illusive. So, he is still camping out in my shrubbery and fortunately nothing has harmed it.
Today, it seemed to be able to weakly flutter its wings, so the Towhee may be on his was south again before the temperature drops too much.
Thank you for the reblog. Love your site! Will certainly be back – my family loves critters of all description.
You’re so welcome. I just love the story. Very tender.
